NCFE Level 2 Diploma in Sport
Individual offers may vary; however, you’ll normally need 4 GCSEs Level 1 - 9, including English and maths.
NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Sport
Individual offers may vary; however, you’ll normally need 4 GCSEs Level 4-9, preferably one being English or maths.
NCFE Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport
Individual offers may vary; however, you’ll normally need 5 GCSEs Level 4-9, including English and maths.

This programme is government funded.
You will not need to pay tuition fees but other costs may be applicable.
You will study a nationally recognised qualification in sport, delivered by SCL. Where required, you will also study maths and/or English GCSE or Functional Skills.
Complete an NCFE Level 2 Diploma in Sport or an NCFE Level 3 Diploma/Extended Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity*
*Qualification studied will be dependent on GCSE grades achieved by learner.

What is an NCFE Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity?
Developed with employers in mind, your NCFE qualification will combine a mix of practical and theoretical learning.
This qualification is designed to be taken by those wishing to progress to a career in the sport and physical activity sector and aims to provide you with the specialist knowledge, skills and understanding relating to the sport and physical activity sector.

There will be a subsidised cost for purchasing training kit at the start of the season. Further details about this will be provided upon the player’s acceptance onto the programme.
Charlton Athletic Community Trust Academy offer talented footballers the opportunity to enhance and develop their technical and tactical knowledge through an extensive Football Development Programme.
Under the pupillage of highly experienced and qualified UEFA ‘A’ and ‘B’ Licensed Coaches, training will focus on individual technical, tactical and physical attributes whilst skills will be honed through a weekly games programme in the Football Conference Youth Alliance League and British College League.
Successful completion of your study programme will provide you with the option to apply for university. As part of your weekly tutorials, you will receive support and guidance with your UCAS and student finance applications.
If you decide to combine further study with employment, you will be eligible for an apprenticeship within the sport and leisure industry.
Upon successful completion of your study programme, you will receive information, support and guidance on a variety of aspects to support you in securing meaningful employment. This will form the basis of your tutorial sessions, in addition to the academic monitoring and target setting.
Studying with SCL provides you with an opportunity to progress into football, with successful links into semi-professional football and U18 Academy trials.
The programme also offers a pathway to progress to a USA Scholarship through John Robinson Soccer School. An American Scholarship will allow you to continue your studies whilst training and competing at a high level.

Bradley is a full-time member of the football and sports development team within CACT and manages the Post 16 Football and Education programme. A UEFA B License coach, Bradley was a scholar in his younger playing days at AFC Wimbledon before stepping into coaching. Bradley is still a keen player playing semi professional football in SE London
Richard is a current UEFA B licence coach and full time with CACT as the Kent Football Development Manager (Post 16). Richard was an ex professional player with Crawley Town before entering non-league football management in Kent. Richard is the current first team at Tunbridge Wells.
