Previous employment includes working as a Cover Supervisor in a Pupil Referral Unit, a Sport and Leisure Activity Leader for Charnwood Borough Council in priority neighbourhoods and a International Summer School.
A keen Rugby enthusiast, HITZ provides me with the opportunity to combine my love of sport with my passion to help young people from different backgrounds.
Danielle Mallinson - HITZ Tutor
I have enjoyed teaching on the HITZ programme for four years, working with young people from a wide variety of backgrounds and, through sport, focussing on the development of well-rounded individuals - preparing young people for the world of work and fulfilling a healthy active lifestyle.
It is very rewarding to see young people change from when they start their HITZ journey as they move forward and start to climb their career ladder.
I am passionate about promoting health and fitness through sport and providing opportunities for all. With a PGCE in Physical Education from Loughborough University and over 10 years teaching experience, I have taught in both the primary and secondary sectors across the UK, America and Australia. In my spare time I am a fan of outdoor pursuits.
Laura Wright - Support Coordinator
Hi, I’m Laura, I have been working on the Hitz programme for over a year and love what the HITZ programme stands for. I have had a varied career studying Art and working in Retail before to moving into education. I have 8 years’ experience of working on various Education & Training programmes which support in changing lives from adults to young persons, no matter how big or small. Hitz is a very rewarding programme and the range of enrichment activities that the participants get to experience is brilliant. It is definitely a great programme to be a part of and support all of the Premiership Rugby Hitz programmes.
In my spare time I enjoy going to Rugby and Netball games, spending time with family, friends, visiting new places in both the UK and abroad and I love watching Friends TV show!
